Privacy Notice
Effective from: 15 October 2026. Applies to: the True Luck guide for readers in the United Kingdom, including every page of it. Does not apply to: your True Luck casino account. The casino handles that data under its own privacy information, and this guide never receives it.
Who decides how your data is used
Controller: the editors of this guide decide why and how personal data sent to the guide is used. Contact: [email protected]. What the editors are not: the operator of the casino. They hold no casino accounts, take no deposits and process no withdrawals, so your registration details, payment details and identity documents for True Luck never pass through them.
What data arrives
Your messages: when you write to the editorial address, the editors receive your e-mail address, your name if it appears in the address or message, and whatever the message contains, such as the page and figure you are asking about. Technical records: a visit to any website produces standard records, including the address of the connecting device, the browser and device type, and the pages requested. Cookies: strictly necessary cookies deliver the site. Any other cookie, such as one that measures visits, is set only after you accept it. What not to send: passwords, card numbers, casino account details and identity documents. No question about this guide needs them, and anything of the kind sent by mistake is deleted.
Why it is used and on what basis
Replying and correcting: your e-mail address and message are used to answer you and to correct a page if you have found an error. The basis is the editors’ legitimate interest in answering readers and fixing mistakes, or taking a step you have asked for. Running the site safely: technical records are used to keep the site working, to find faults and to guard against misuse, on the basis of legitimate interest in a secure site. Measuring visits: cookies of this kind rest on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Legal duties: data is used where the law requires it, on the basis of legal obligation. What does not happen: no decision about you is made by automated means, and the data is not sold.
Who receives it
Service providers: hosting and e-mail providers handle data on the editors’ instructions and only to run the guide.
Authorities: data may be disclosed where the law requires it. True Luck and other sites: the guide links to the True Luck site. Following a link takes you to a different organisation, and its own privacy information, not this notice, covers what it collects. Transfers abroad: some providers may handle data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, the editors rely on an adequacy decision or on the safeguards that UK data protection law accepts for such transfers.
How long it is kept
Messages: a message and the reply are kept while your question and any resulting correction are dealt with, and then deleted. Technical records: these are kept for the shortest period that serves security and fault-finding. Anything the law requires to be kept: that is kept for the period the law sets and no longer.
Security: access to the editorial mailbox is limited to the people who need it, and the editors use organisational and technical measures suited to the data. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, which is another reason to keep sensitive details out of messages.
Your rights and how to use them
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data held about you, have inaccurate data corrected, have data erased, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable form and withdraw consent you have given. How to ask: write to [email protected], say which right you want to use and which message or visit it concerns. What you can expect back: a reply within one month. If the request is complex or you have made several, the period can be extended by up to two further months, and you would be told why within the first month. Cost: an ordinary request is free. Proof it is you: the editors may ask you to confirm that the request comes from the person it concerns before they release or delete anything.
Objecting: an objection to a use based on legitimate interests stops that use, unless the editors can show a compelling reason to continue or the data is needed for a legal claim. Withdrawing consent: this applies from the moment you withdraw it and does not undo what happened before. Complaints: if you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Readers under 18
The guide is for adults. The minimum gambling age in Great Britain is 18, and the guide is not directed at anyone younger. If you think someone under 18 has sent a message, write to the editorial address and the data will be deleted.
Changes to this notice
When the way data is handled changes, this notice is updated and the effective date at the top changes with it. The version above, effective from 15 October 2026, is the current one. See also the terms of use for how the guide may be used.
